The Research of Environmental Sciences (RES), founded in 1988, is a comprehensive academic journal responsible to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China, and managed by the Chinese Research Academy of Environmental Sciences (CRAES). As a national first-class magazine, RES has been indexed on the lists of the Core Journals of China andthe Key Magazine of China Technology. BES was honored with the title of the China’s Outstanding Academic Journals with International Influences in 2012, the Outstanding S&T Journals of China in 2011, and the RCCSE Authoritative Academic Journals of China of 2011-2012. The journal is abstracted and indexed by a lot of international databases including the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), Chinese S&T Paper Citation Database (CSTPCD), Core Journals Database of China (Selection), Database of Outstanding S&T Journals of China , Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Information System (ASFIS, UN), Chinese Medical Citation Index (CMCI), CA, CSA:NS, Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, CABI, Global Health, ZR, VINITI, JST and IC.
The RES is publishing the original and the most recent studies related to environmental sciences that reflect the international and domestic advances, new theories, new technologies and new methodologies, covering the disciplines including atmospheric environment, aquatic environment, regional ecological environment, soil environment, ecotoxicology, environmental treatment technologies, cleaner production technologies and processes, solid waste, environmental monitoring and analysis, as well as environmental planning and management. This journal serves readers from scientific research institutes, colleges and universities.
The RES adheres to whole-heartedly rely on academic experts to run the journal. Under the leadership of the Editorial Board, an “expert system” with an efficient operative mechanism including manuscript soliciting, writing, review and finalizing conducted under the journal editors, academic leaders and influential experts and professors has been formed. Meanwhile, the Editorial Office is making efforts to establish the discipline brand and form the academic speciality of RES, by making full uses of the advantages of CRAES. In recent years, more than 99% of published papers were financially supported by projects at provincial or higher levels, and over 85% were supported by fundings at national levels.
